The 2027 Ford F-150 swaps its standard 2.7-liter V-6 for a new 3.0-liter turbocharged V-6, Edmunds reports. Peak power is unchanged, but the new engine reaches peak torque sooner. The 5.0-liter V-8 is also easier to get across the lineup.
Edmunds estimates the starting price at $40,500, including destination. There is also a new F-150 Carhartt model based on the XLT. Ford's BlueCruise hands-free driving now works while towing.
How rivals compare
The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is fully redesigned and starts at $41,395. It tows up to 13,700 pounds. The GMC Sierra 1500 starts at $51,295. The Ram 1500 starts at $45,370. Edmunds estimates the Toyota Tundra at $44,000.
Separately, Ford is recalling 2,276 F-150 trucks from model years 2025 to 2027. NHTSA says the front seats may not be properly secured. Dealers will check the seat bolts and fix them free. NHTSA lists owner letters as mailed on October 16.
