MSRP, TSRP and transaction price: what each car-price number means
Honda and Kelley Blue Book both publish prices, but they leave different things out.

Honda uses two list prices. MSRP is the suggested retail price. It leaves out tax, license and registration, options and the destination charge. TSRP adds the destination charge but still leaves out tax, license, registration and options.
Take the 2027 Honda CR-V LX with front-wheel drive. Its MSRP is $31,520. Its TSRP is $32,970. The $1,450 difference is the destination charge. Honda also says dealer prices may vary.
Transaction price
Kelley Blue Book reports average transaction price, or ATP. It tracks what buyers actually paid in a month. KBB says these figures do not include applied consumer incentives.
In September the industry ATP was $50,562. The average MSRP was $52,342. Incentives averaged $3,359 per vehicle. Cox Automotive owns Kelley Blue Book.
For your own purchase, ask for the out-the-door price. It should show every fee and tax in one number.
